Pinterest download FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

No legalese, no fine-print escape hatches. Can't find what you need? Write us at support@bulkopin.com.

The basics

  • Do I need to create a BulkoPin account?

Yes. One free account links the extension to your plan and quota. You can sign in with Google or a one-time magic link. We don't collect a Pinterest password or any social profile data.
  • Which browsers are supported?

BulkoPin is a Chrome extension and also runs on Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave and Opera). Firefox and Safari are not supported: they do not run Chrome extensions.
  • Can I try it without paying?

Yes. The Free plan covers up to 50 downloads in any rolling 24 hours, in ZIP format (each image or video counts as one download, including individual carousel frames) so you can confirm BulkoPin fits your workflow before upgrading.

What stays in your browser

  • Do I have to share my Pinterest password?

No. BulkoPin never asks for your Pinterest password and does not request the cookies or identity Chrome permissions. It runs in the Pinterest tab you're already logged into.
  • Does BulkoPin read my Pinterest cookies?

It reads one specific Pinterest cookie, a CSRF security token, to make requests to Pinterest on your behalf, the same way your browser already does. We don't request Chrome's cookies permission to do this, and that token never leaves your device or reaches our servers.
  • Are my images uploaded to BulkoPin servers?

No. Image and video bytes are fetched from Pinterest's own servers directly into your browser and packaged on your machine. They never touch a BulkoPin server.
  • Is BulkoPin affiliated with Pinterest?

No. BulkoPin is an independent download tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc.

ZIP, PDF and CSV

  • What formats can I export?

ZIP archives of original-resolution images, PDF contact sheets for printable reviews, and CSV metadata exports with titles, descriptions and source URLs. ZIP and CSV are available on every plan; the PDF contact sheet is part of Lifetime.
  • What resolution will my images be?

BulkoPin saves the highest-resolution image variant Pinterest serves to your logged-in browser session. We don't upscale and we don't promise resolutions Pinterest doesn't provide.
  • Can I export videos and GIFs?

Yes, on every plan. Video and GIF pins are downloaded like any other pin and are not restricted to Lifetime.
  • If a board has 50,000 pins, will I get 50,000 files?

Not necessarily, and that's expected. Pinterest often shows the same photo more than once: reposts and different resolution copies of one upload count as separate pins but are the same underlying image. BulkoPin automatically merges those into a single file instead of saving duplicates, so your final file count is usually lower than the number of pins scanned.

What changes when you upgrade

  • What does Free include?

Up to 50 downloads in any rolling 24 hours: ZIP archives or a straight-to-folder save, CSV metadata exports, video and GIF, at the highest resolution Pinterest serves, in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera.
  • What does Lifetime include?

No daily cap under our acceptable-use policy (tested up to 50,000 pins in a run), Parallel Download across multiple boards or profiles at once, the PDF contact sheet, export history kept across your devices, and priority support. One payment, no subscription.
  • What does fair-use mean?

Lifetime removes the daily cap so a real archive can come down in one go. Industrial-scale automation, such as running the extension across hundreds of accounts or leaving it on around the clock, is not supported and may lead to throttling or account review.

Payments and refunds

  • How do refunds work?

We offer a 14-day, evidence-based refund guarantee on the Lifetime plan, the only paid product we currently sell. You buy directly from us, so refunds are issued by us. See the Refund Policy for the full process.
  • Is there anything to cancel?

No. Lifetime is a single one-time payment, not a subscription. There's nothing recurring to cancel, pause, or forget about.
  • Who handles billing?

You buy directly from BulkoPin. The card payment itself happens on the secure hosted page of a licensed payment institution, so BulkoPin never sees or stores your card details.

What BulkoPin can and can't reach

  • Can I export private or secret boards?

Only if your own Pinterest session can see them. BulkoPin works on whatever your logged-in tab renders, and it doesn't unlock private boards belonging to someone else.
  • What happens if Pinterest rate-limits me?

Exports slow down or pause until Pinterest serves pages again. BulkoPin doesn't try to bypass Pinterest's rate limits or access controls.
  • Does BulkoPin still work after Pinterest layout changes?

Pinterest's web layout changes from time to time. We ship extension updates when that happens, usually within a few days.
  • Does Pinterest or the board owner get notified when I export?

No. BulkoPin only reads pages your own session already loads. It doesn't post, like, follow, comment or message on your behalf, so there's no notification for Pinterest to send. Pinterest can still see ordinary request activity from your own account, the same way it does when you browse normally.

What you may do with an export

  • Is downloading Pinterest content allowed?

Saving images for your own reference, research or offline archive is a common thing to do, and BulkoPin only reaches what your own logged-in session already displays. That isn't permission, though. Pinterest's terms restrict collecting or copying content from Pinterest by automated means without Pinterest's express prior permission, and the creator's own rights apply on top of that: republishing, reselling or redistributing someone else's work usually needs their permission. BulkoPin gives you no rights over Pinterest content; whether your own use fits Pinterest's terms, the rights holder's rights and your local law is yours to judge. This is our plain reading of how the tool should be used, not legal advice. If a specific use matters to you, check with the rights holder.
  • Who owns the images I download?

Whoever created them. An export changes nothing about copyright: the rights stay with the creator, and BulkoPin makes no claim to your files either. Treat exports the way you'd treat any other reference material you've saved, and get permission before you publish or sell someone else's work.
  • I'm a creator and I want my work removed. What now?

We don't host or mirror your images. Exports go straight from Pinterest's own servers to the person's own device, so in almost every case there is nothing on our servers to take down. The one narrow exception is a capped pass-through proxy that streams a file without retaining it; our DMCA page explains it in full. Either way, we read every notice: email support@bulkopin.com with the subject “Copyright notice”, or file it through that same page.

When something feels off

  • An export stopped halfway. What now?

Re-run the same export. The partial session is recorded in your download history, so you can see how far the last run got before starting again. If it keeps stopping at the same point, send the board URL to support@bulkopin.com and we'll look into it.
  • How do I contact support?

Email support@bulkopin.com. Real humans read every message, usually within one business day.
